By purchasing or using any MindIO offering — the open-source edition (frontend + backend), MindIO Desktop, a Pro Source License, or Personal Site Hosting — you agree to the terms below for that specific offering.
MindIO is offered in several forms, each with its own terms: the open-source frontend and backend (Apache 2.0 license, free to use, modify, and self-host — a prebuilt jar is also available), MindIO Desktop (a yearly subscription), Pro Source License (personal or commercial, one-time purchase, with source for Pro features), and Personal Site Hosting (a yearly add-on).
The Personal Pro Source License is for your own, non-commercial use only. You need the Commercial license if you: sell a product or service built on MindIO's backend; deliver a MindIO-based deployment to a client; use it to generate any revenue, directly or indirectly; or embed it in a service offered to people outside your own household. If you're unsure whether your use case counts as commercial, contact us before purchasing — it's cheaper to ask than to upgrade later.
Except where required by law or payment platform policy, all sales are final. Because licenses, source code, and activation codes are delivered digitally and instantly, we do not offer refunds. Please review the features and requirements carefully — on the Pricing and Download pages — before purchasing.
MindIO Desktop is billed yearly. If you subscribed at the early-bird price, your renewal is billed at that same early-bird rate for as long as your subscription stays active. If you subscribe after the early-bird period ends, you're billed at the standard rate. You can cancel auto-renewal at any time through Payhip; your access continues until the end of the current billing period.
Each Pro source purchase includes one upgrade key, valid for a single discounted upgrade to a future version. Keys are tied to the original order and cannot be transferred or resold. A new key is issued each time one is used.
A Pro Source License lets you read, modify, and use the source within the scope of your license, but you may not publicly publish, resell, redistribute, or share the Pro source, license files, activation codes, or upgrade keys, and you may not remove copyright, license, or source notices. The Commercial license allows use in commercial products and client delivery, but it does not allow selling or publicly distributing the Pro source itself as a standalone product.
If you use Personal Site Hosting or any publishing feature, you are responsible for making sure you have the right to publish that content and that it does not violate others' rights or applicable law. MindIO may suspend, limit access to, or remove hosted content or activity that is unlawful, infringing, abusive, malicious, or clearly harmful to service stability.
MindIO's self-hosted and desktop software is provided "as is," without warranty of any kind. If you self-host, you are responsible for your own backups, security, and data — MindIO has no access to and cannot recover self-hosted data.
