Up and running in 3 steps

Download the installer for your system and run it.
- 2 · Activate
Buy an activation code — it arrives by email. Enter it in the app.
- 3 · Add your model key
In Settings → AI service, paste a key from OpenAI, Anthropic, DeepSeek or another provider. Mio is ready.
If you stop paying, your notes stay on your computer. You can still open them and export them anytime — only creating and editing is paused.
Opening it for the first time
macOS
- Control-click (or right-click) Mindio in Applications, choose Open, then confirm.
- Still blocked? Open System Settings → Privacy & Security, scroll down and click Open Anyway. On macOS 15 and later this is the only way.
Windows: if a blue “Windows protected your PC” screen appears, click More info → Run anyway.
